mobo for calculations

Hi all,

I'm configuring a high performance system. I was convinced that I nailed it, but now I have second thoughts on my motherboard.

Configuration:
Intel i7 3770
WD 20EARX 2 TB HDD
Sharkoon T9 Black Edition
OCZ*ModXStream Pro 500W
Corsair XMS3 1600 16 GB (4*4 GB)
LG GH24NS90 DVD RW
Scythe Mugen2 rev B
SSD

Initial option was ASUS P8Z77 V Pro.
possible alternatives:
MSI Z77A-GD65
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H

Now, what features do these boards have that cheaper alternatives lack?
I.e., would
ASUS P8Z77-V LE
ASUS P8Z77-V

or

Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H

do the job too?

It just has to do some matrix distance calculations, stats, ... No real graphical intensive things or so.

Perhaps a good intermediate option would be the Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H?

I have the UD5 and it is a solid board. The big reason that I went with it over the UD3 was that there were better heatsinks around the CPU socket. I don't really see any reason why your system would not preform well with the UD3 if you are not OCing to the max.
