Mobo memory match?

Gigabyte is a good reliable make. I prefer the nForce chipsets on boards. Crucial is one of the best brands of memory. Corsair, Kingston, and a few others are often used as well. The memory there is DDR2 800 so you should be set to go.

My Main concern is with the timing.
The Mem. says its 4-4-4-12.
And the mobo says- Only DDR2-800 memory supporting JEDEC approved 1.8v operation with timings of 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 is supported on Intel Desktop Boards based on Intel 965 Express Chipsets.

So I guess I'm a little confused. Crucials website said its compatible.

Could someone help me understand this.

Now you see why I go with NVidia chipsets even though I run AMD boards. You may find links for the recommended memory right at Gigabyte's own site. Kingston memory is one I have seen on trips there. But a trip to newegg was a waste when looking at Kinston and several other brands except for a 1gb dimm of Corsair xms series DDR2 800 memory seen at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145588 This memory has 5-5-5-12 timings. Hopefully that will get you set.
