MOBO not powering

Hi all,

I am building a pc, I have added my processor, ram, hdd, graphics card etc.. Connected all the wires (i believe), and yet the cpu fan doesn't run nor the graphics card fan or even the psu fan itself!!! So does this mean that I require a new psu??

I would be very grateful.

did u correctly plug in those pin connectors that are suppose to connect to ur case to the power button?

I did indeed. Have checked this, and still the fans do not run. However, the green led light does light up! So the mobo must be receiving power

It could be the PSU, but there are plenty of other possibilities. Check all the connections, particularly the 4pin ATX12V connector, and make sure that the motherboard isn't grounding anywhere.

The best way to check is take both psu and mb out and put it on a table and try it that way.
