Mobo Switch

Hey guys, I had a quick question on switching out mobo's. I am currently using a MSI 870A-G57 Gaming Edition. It was 89.99 or something like that. Anyways. I was wondering, if I wanted to switch out and get a better mobo, would I have to uninstall anything on my HD or are there any special steps I have to do to make everything work. Or do I just unplug everything and plug it back in and i'm set?
