mobo temp

I'm pretty sure the motherboard won't fry unless it's grounded to the case, or at temps so hot you won't be able to reach them.

It Shuld have like a "safty" that makes the system shut down before that hapens;) but i think that around 80c you should get worried:)

at what temp will the mobo fry?
Are you talking about the actual mobo temp reading or at any point on the motherboard? You're most likely going to run into problems with the northbridge or caps before anything else.

Agreed... Most mobo's have sensors in their chipsets(at least one of them). If you just mean by the temp in your case, I doubt it would actually fry the mobo before just causing it to overheat and lock up...

are you sure you meant mobo and not cpu, you cant really say mobo temp.

You could mean your north bridge temp but you have to be getting one hot north bridge. As long as the heatsink is on it it shouldn't happen. Either way i agree with the_other_one, you would be seeing crashes and freezes before seeing pops and bangs
