still it doesnt find the drv
can ne1 help plz
thnx in adv

instead of letting it try to install the drive, tell it which driver you want it to use, and if that doesn't work try a different modem in the same PCI slot to see if it may be a problem with the PCI slot or the origonal modem. If you don't have another modem, try putting it in a different slot.

First off, please allow for a day to get a response to your post.

I would do a virus check or adware/spyware check as well. You might find something there that is intefering with the drivers. Also look for the device in your device drivers to try and find the drivers on-line.

i did virus n spyware scan .. but no results :(
i got zonealarm firewall installed so tht tks care of the spyware n all

n btw ... the modem is inbuilt ... so hw m i supposed to change the slot ?? its attached to mb :(

that presents a problem, try removing it in device manager then don't allow windows to automatically reinstall it, tell it what driver you want it to use. Also modems are really cheap these days you could try getting a new one, because it's possible that your current one has gone bad.
