Modem or isp issue?

so recently... basically these last two days

my internet has been crashing... normally when my internet crashes the cable box says...."orange light" = no signal on the "cable" light area... when its green its good

i've been noticing my modem completely reseting itself (no orange light for loss of signal) and then having a hard time figuring the status out on itself... everything is green but the status is flashing and it won't connect my computer.

normally i'd just guess my isp is being a Dbag... but the reseting itself seems like a new problem.... i have a dlink dcm202 modem...i've had it for 2 years now... maybe its time is up?

Definately time to upgrade. Also, check to see that the cable splitter if you are using one isn't going bad. That happened to me once. But mostly, upgrade
 
Definately either sounds like a modem issue or contact your isp to have them test your line when it goes out. They can determine whats wrong at that point.
 
well i tried looking for new firmware @ the dlink website but their download button doesn't work lol fail @ website...

i called my isp they gave me the usual runaround playbook bs.. try unplugging...are you sure u connected the cable... try a new cable blah blah blah tech service...more look make you look like a noob service...
 
I just checked their north american site and there is no firmware upgrade for that model. There isn't a file listed.
