Modem questions?

I recently received a bunch of old computers and a 2wire 1000(somethinghere) dsl modem. I have cable. I also have a belkin54g wireless router connected to my cable modem and allows me (wireless) to get internet. I want to place the computers I received in a whole nother part of my house (so they wont be seen). I dont have a long enough cat5 cable though.

Can I use my 2wire as an ethernet bridge/repeater type thing? So I dont have to buy a separate wireless card for each pc, just link them to the 2wire, and have it get wireless from my belkin router?

Does the 4 ethernet ports on the back of the 2wire act as a router?

Kinda long questions but detail doesnt hurt. Any one have any ideas?

You'll probably need another device. Unless you can get DD-WRT loaded on it or something, I seriously doubt the firmware would allow for it to be used in such a way. That's the problem with most products out there. They can do much more than the manufacturers let on :P

Just tried loading the dd-wrt.v23_mini_generic.bin. Didnt work unfortunately. Ill just have to wait till next saturday to go out and get my cat5 crimped. Thanks anyway. :D

Oh, unless you know how to crimp cat5 without the special tool?
