Modem SNR, Pwr Levels - Whats best?..

Here is what I think I know.. the downstream freq means nothing right.. even tho I can change it it will not help me in any way.. the higher the SNR the better, 32-33 being the min w/o losing connection alot, prefer 35+, dwn pwr level optimun at 0, -5 threw +5 acceptable... upload chanel ID means nothing, tho I can change it, it will not help me, up frequency same as down, I do not know what a good up pwr lvl is tho.. I seem to be getin the same speed of 1900 up nomatter what I do.
