There was a problmem with my old modem, when you tried to go to websites they loaded verrry slow, but the weird thing is, when i played games online, i had very low ping and didnt lag at all. Is there a certain thing wrong with my modem thats preventing me to use the internet?

online gaming is essentially the same as accessing websites. did all websites load slow or only some?

all the websites loaded slow, and downloads were downloading at around 0.7Kbps, when i played games the average latency was around 250ms, which is 3-4green. When i installed the old modem, websites and downloads go much quicker, but online gaming is the same or slightly slower.

when you are online playing game information is going both ways at the same time. when you are going to web pages it is a one way connection. problya lot of us are using DSL. DSL is the best. Ill never go back to dial up. that is my on opion.

Im sure you want to find the solution...

It turned out to be a DNS error, I had to manually set the DNS servers in the TCP/IP settings, then it worked much better.
