dual channel ram wont operate in dual channel on a socket 754, even though the gain of dual channel on amd's is minimal compared to p4's

K8T890 isnt the best chipset for your money, nForce4 is a superior route :)

What processor are you gettiung?

looks like a good overall system... some would argue that you choose a slightly faster processor and graphics card but i dont see those components limiting your enjoyment :)

now do u think that i could i could play a game lik battlefield 2 online and have everything maxed out and it not effect my gameplay

i wouldn't see why not, im not overly familiar with the specs for BF2. i reckon you have enough memory but i dont know what effect maxing out the detail would have with regards to polygon performance etc

You should be able to play BF2 at max (at a contained resolution obviously) fine. Again, you may want to considering ditching the Via board for an NF4

You can prolly pull off max settings at say 800x600 although I will admit i misread and thought we were dealing with a 6600GT (and even at 8x6, you'd be pushin it)

i misread too... i'd consider the 6600 GT with 256 megs... an excellent performer for the money :)

Yeh, an athlon64 3500+ is more than capable of keeping up with BF2 the only limiting bottleneck there is your integrated graphics.
