modifying a pci wireless card

i was thinkin of trying to disassemble the antenna on a card and hooking it to a bigger antenna outside the house somehow, but was wondering if it is possible it doesnt seem to hard
 
Seems like there might be laws against it or something (no idea, just i'd recommend you find out.). But theoretically, it would seem fairly easy (depending on your card).
 
well it wouldnt be illegal i pull my uncles wireless but the connection goes out alot, and im thinkin that might improve the connection
