moding router internals????

alrighty i got one of the real crappy linksys wrt54g that they skimped out on the ram and other stuff can i mod it upgrade the ram my self or would it be simpler to buy a new on???

i want to us the DD-WRT on it
 
get linksys open sprce router. on there website they have a fully blown up version. like 16 mb etc. they intended it to bu used with this stuff. good luck

I work with those routers a lot, for myself I don't use them. What do you mean they skimped out the RAM?
 
exactly i went todd wrt website and read about my router and this vers. they skimped out on the good stuff i was talking to a mod on here about it and thats what he told me good luck

and i wanted to know if i can mod this stuff or would it be cheaper to get a new one and do it if possible
