I was wondering what is a better option modular or normal PSU's as ive heard that modular are not very efficient

the modulars have a slight drop in power, but not enough to notice, efficiency depends on what its loaded at, if you have a 1600 watt psu running with a 100 watt load, its going to have terrible efficiency, but if you had a load of around 1300-1500 watts, the effieciency would be much better

I am not to sure on how efficient they are but i would rather have a modular, no useless cables hanging out in your case.

I would agree that modular is the best way to go if you aren't planning on using the majority of cables/connectors that come with a given PSU.

Modular's are okay, as my Ultra is a modular. Pretty nice to have the ability to attach/unattach cables.
