You do realise that your monitor doesn't support a refresh rate of 200Hz.

Hmm

You have the option "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display" unchecked. You could destroy your monitor!

JAN :D

I think his monitor supports 200Hz.

Did anyone relize that his moniter type is "plug and play" which means that he haven't installed the driver for his monitor. That is why other than 60Hz mode is hidden.

Did you even read the warning before you did that? Setting it to 200Hz could damage your monitor or other hardware.

And my monitor is also seen as "plug and play", but the only reason he can set his to 200Hz is because he unchecked the "hide unsafe settings" box.

Usually when the refresh rate is set too high you can hear a strange high pitched noise. That means bad things are gonna happen if you keep it at that setting. :P

oooooooooooo

this should be good

wait about a day or two and then look in this forum for a thread

"High Pitch Coming From Monitor Then No Picture"

Well I even played cs source with that much hertz for 2 days now but if you say its dangerous i guess i should set it back to normal then. But this 200hertz is really smooth and fast. So which monitor will support 200 hertz then?

Dunno, try it at 110MHZ and see if you notice anything.

Well I dont see the difference but when i increase the hertz I do see the difference in speed and my mouse sensitivty speed. what it really does it is when i click on applications and programs or start program accessories toolbars. It just appear a little faster. AND WOW 60 Hertz hurted my eyes

Yea, lol. Try like 90 or 100 hrz

I hate to see it... but a, your not actually running at 200 hertz, and b, there's no way you'll notice the difference between 60 and 200 hertz in your desktop, especially on an lcd (which I assume you've got).

AND... monitor refresh rate can't speed up your computer... at all. So this:
The point is that increasing the size of ram with the same number of dimms installed see far less problems come up over increasing the number to increase ram that way.
Is all in your mind...
