Monitor Brand

What are good monitor brands? Im looking into a fairly nice widescreen Digital Monitor. About 19" considering the place where my monitor fits is only 20" wide and 16" high. My budget is only like $250, WITH a DVI-cord (about $15 separate, since most not included.)

LG, Dell, and most of Acer's monitors are great.

Samsung however, its a mixed bunch. It depends on the model..

i have two acer 20inch widescreens and i could not be happier.

they were a fair price too

I like that monitor, but unfortunately it just wont fit. My desk has a spot for the monitor, then shelves on the sides. The top piece cannot not be taken off, so I am limited to 20" wide, and I mean a 20" wide monitor would be touching. I would prefer some room.

If you want to save alittle money Acer makes a good LCD but if you want a higher up one go for a LG.

I say the LG because it has better specs and the response time it 2ms like the dells where they are 5ms

Suggestions of DVI-DVI cable? The monitor doesnt come with one. I dont know difference between a $10 and $50 one. Cheaper better. Either monoprice or newegg.

5' to 6' should be good.

Dell has very nice, crisp LCD's.

I also like ViewSonic, HP, and Acer.

NEC they are not cheap, but damn its sooooooo nice, and yeah i have seen other monitors from samsung, dell, blah blah blah.
