when i changed monitors i noticed something differnt when moving the windows, instead of actually moving the windows it shows an outline of the window and you move that and when you let go the window will go there instead of just moving the window itself, i do not like this, how do i change this back?

Right click My Computer, then click Properties.
Select the Advanced tab.
Check the box marked "Show window contents while dragging".
Click Apply, then OK, then OK again. Done.

ok i right clicked my computer and clicked prorperties andd went to the advanced tab but all that was there was a window which listed, performance start up and recovery,and user prfiles with the settings option next to them, i checked all the setting and there wasn't anything that said show window contents while dragging, i have xp svp2

Right click an empty area of your desktop.
Select Appearance
Select the Effects button
Place a checkmark in the "Show window contents while dragging" checkbox to enable this setting. Remove the checkmark to disable it.
