Monitor Dieing?

My monitor(Samsung Syncmaster 214T, 21.3" 1600:1200) is not working:
When I plug it in the screen is really dark, and flickers to the point where it is like running a monitor at a super low hz. rating it flashes that badly.
Also after awhile it gets better, not usable, but better.

Too lazy, CRT or LCD?

Make sure you didnt accidentally touch the contrast and brightness.

LCD, and I didn't mess with the contrast/brightness, I tried adjusting them but left them at factory defaults
