Hi guys,
I am considering a new monitor to game on and I read some reviews on the net and came up with a list of few monitors from which i cant choose.
I want it to be 24/27 inch to have goood response time and i dont really care about glossy screens or viewing angles i just want a good picture if possible.I choose the following:
-ACER G276HLAbid
-Samsung S27A950
-ASUS VG278HE
and 2 24 inch ones:
-ASUS 24 VG248QE
-BenQ XL2420T
I preffer to save some money if possible and also could you tell me if the image on the tn panels is really that bad.
Another thing I am not sure about is if the 27 inch will have bad image quality because of the pixel density.
Sorry for my bad english!

Not sure where you are shopping from but if you are wanting a 27" monitor you don't need to be spending the amount that the ones in your list are. I do recommend Asus though. Where do you get your parts from?

I have a 27" monitor and I have no problems with the pixel density. The resolution's still high enough where things look very sharp to me. I probably wouldn't go much larger than a 27" though unless you'll have a pretty good distance between yourself and the screen.

Of the listed screens, I'd go with that Asus 27". We sold Asus monitors where I worked and had very good luck with them. on the same token, I have had Acer and Samsung monitors. They have been fine, but I have seen more issues with those brands over Asus. I actually found a 27" Samsung in the recycling bin at work due to a bad control board just recently...

Well i am shopping from some bulgarian shops and i can get the acer g276 for 500 bgn which is arround 320$ i can also get a BenQ GW2750HM for the same amount of money and the asus v278q is arround that price too.
P.S i can order the asus vh278he from amazon for 450$ and the vg27ah for350$ but there will be some extra taxes.

Look for the highest contrast ratio and lowest refresh latency. If you can afford it get a 120/144Hz monitor.

HI again :)
I read some reviews of monitors on the net and i chose a few models.
Viewsonic vx2753MH- it isnt really stylish and hasnt got a really good image quality but has low imput lag and 1ms reaction time.
Benq EW2730V-has a good image quality but is also slower(8ms) and is a bit more expensive.
Asus VE278Q-accurate colors out of the box good contrast and reaction time but has poor viewing angles( I dont really care about that)
Acer G276HL-I couldnt really find a lot about it only that it has 6ms reaction time and not bad color acuuracy.

I would really apreciate some recommendations or help if you own some of the models or have had experience with it.
At the moment i think i like the asus most.
Thanks in advance! :)

I have the Asus VE278Q and its an awesome monitor. And I'm not sure where you are getting the info about the bad viewing angles. I don't have that issue.

I read some reviews but it is not important for me anyway.I think its the best out of these but i want to hear other peoples opinions too.

Well as far as response time goes, your best choices are the Asus and Viewsonic. So I would reduce your choices down to those 2.

I wouldn't fancy 1080p on a 27" monitor for gaming. They make the desktop look especially nasty aswell. You really need 1440p on a panel that size. The Dell U2711 is a great monitor.

I agree that both the dell and the asus vg278he are better than what i have chosen but in bulgaria they are double the price.Could you recommend me a good online shop which shipps to bulgaria?I am considering to order 1 online because its really a lot cheaper but the only shop i know(newegg) doesnt ship here.

Well if money is the issue, then a 24" @ 1920x1200 would be better than a 27" @ 1920x1080.

I had a look at some monitors and i found some that look really good:
27 inch:
Dell DELL 27" S2740L-good display but has glossy screen.I am mostly gaming with the lights off and i am not sure if i will notice anything.
Asus ASUS 27" MX279H-looks good but i think i like the dell more.
24inch:
Dell 2412m
These 3 were the best i can find here. Both the dells have a pretty slow response time but i think i wont really notice it( i am not a super hardcore gamer)

It might be for really serious gamers. I have played on a 1080p TN monitor with a response time of 5ms and my current monitor that is 1600 IPS with a response time of +8ms (Newegg says 8 Dell says 11-14) I can't tell enough for it to bother me that the Dell monitor is slower. That might be because the Dell looks so much better (Image wise) than the other monitor.

Bottom line for me. If you are not playing games 24/7 at a very high level, get a monitor that will be good for both gaming and every day use. If you go with a TN panel look for 5ms as well as the other things that Okydokey mentioned earlier.

EDIT: Personal recomendation. Unless you are planning on getting multiple monitors get something over 1080. 1440 displays are not as spendy and will still give you a lot of view able space.

yeah I guess. I'm running mine with a 560ti. Far less power and more monitor to display. I still play quite a bit maxed. Not everything if course but I still don't have to take down anything lower than a mix of high/medium on Metro 2033, BF3, Crysis 2, JC2...
