Monitor, keyboard and mouse shut down randomly

Hey everyone. I've been looking all over the web for a reason as to why all of a sudden, no matter what I'm doing, no matter how long I've been doing whatever it is I've been doing on my computer, my monitor goes black, my keyboard and my mouse stop working. Leds on the mouse or keyboard switch off. The computer continues to work. Fans still spin, all lights are on. No weird noise, no nothing. Those three things just shut down all at the same time.

Doesn't matter what I'm doing at the time. Computer left to itself, shut down. Watching a video, shut down. Playing a game, shut down. Writing on word, shut down, listening to music on a music player, shut down. Time doesn't matter either. It just happens

I end up having to hit the power button and force shut it down.

I'm thinking a faulty PSU is the problem. What do you guys think?

Alright. I've been thinking and the ATI Radeon HD 4650 I have is the 1GB version which asks for more power. That together with everything else is pushing the PSU. The power supply I currently have is a new 500 W one but is less stable than the 400 W one I had before. The one before was always being pushed to the limit and that's why I had the problems I had before. I will upgrade the power supply. Then I'll post the results here for the sake of reference for anyone who has had this exact problem and who, like myself, have had no luck in finding a solution online and are wondering what to do next. I'll post back in a few days.

Got it. Replaced the power source with a 750 W one. Did the job.

Other problems that I thought were from the power supply we related to a memory stick. Pressed down on it and fixed everything. Wasn't inserted well enough. Those problems were mostly to do with freezing and crashing. Blue screen stuff and all that.
