Monitor not turning on

I have a Compaq WF1907 LCD monitor. Just yesterday as I was using it, I heard a "putt" sound and after wards the monitor went blank. When I connect the power cord and turn it on, I do not see any light. I just don't know what is wrong.

No it does not display anything. It just stays blank.

Sounds like it blew up on you. If its still under warranty, call compaq/HP for an rma.
