Monitor or GPU?

What would you rather get, a new 22 inch widescreen monitor and keep the 8600 which runs everything u throw at it, or get a 8800gt just for brags and keep the old 19 inch widescreen?

If you're a dweeb and a loser with no life, no wife and no friends, then you buy whatever gives you a bigger e-penis to hide the fact that you really are ugly, packing like a gerbil and full of zits.

Otherwise, you get the thing that makes the most practical sense. In your case, a monitor.

I guess I would go with the monitor if your card runs everything you want. It will hold its value better. If you sway the other way though, I would wait for the geforce 9 series which I believe comes out this quarter (could be some good price cuts on the older models).

Ok. Thanks.

You must not be trying to play many new games if you say the 8600GT can handle anything you throw at it.

IMO the upgrade from a 19" to a 22" isn't that great, so I would go with the 8800GT.

yea, but is the 8800gt necessary if i only game like css and race - the wtcc game? I mean, i would rather have a bigger screen for internet or, just space, instead of just a 8800gt that wont be used to even near its full potential.

You realize, of course, your graphics card will have a harder time running the native resolution of the bigger monitor? I vote neither.

8600gt? my friend has same specs except for p31 and e4600 and he runs everything at 1680x1050 and its fine. what would u choose?
