Monitor Problem, need help!

Ok, so I have had a 19 inch LCD monitor for over two years now and it is working fine. I recently hooked up dual LCD Monitors to my computer in the past month to my Radeon 9800. It has been working fine, I use Ultramon and such to tamper with the settings. Today, my second monitor which is a LCD HPvs15, just went blank. Whenever I turn it off, than back on I can see it for about three seconds, than it just goes dark again. The weired thing is, I can still see it real lightley when its dark, so its not completely dark. I have tried installing driver and drivers for the video card, monitors, and everything. Any help would be great right now, thanks!

Does it look like the backlight turns off? i would try turning up the brightness on the monitor.

I think if it was the brightness, it wouldnt even show up for the three seconds would it?

The monitor may take a couple seconds to enforce changes made to brightness, contrast, etc. I would just try it.

the backlight's probably just dead

that doesn't explain the 3 seconds it does work, but you never know
