Monitor problems- horizontal fuzzy lines then black out

Hi, I'm having a problem with my monitor... as soon as i turn it on it goes all fuzzy then it just goes black and i can't click on anything even though I can hear that it is working, i guess it's to do with the screen? could someone advise me on what to do?

Try a different monitor or try booting to safe mode to see if you can see the screen. If you can see the screen in safe mode then its a driver issue.
