I would only go widescreen if you are going with a 20" or above. For a 19" widescreen, it's not all worth it.

I would recommend a Dell monitor, I have three at a client's place, never heard a word about them for close to 2 years.

Yeah, those are good specs for that price, 2ms response time and a good contrast ratio. But, I have heard Samsung doesn't do well with their LCDs, somebody posted about two monitors that went dead and a LCD TV that kicked the bucket.

I've 2 of those in my office, they work perfectly fine, just a little brighter than most normal monitors

That one is fine too, but like i said above if you have the extra cash for the samsung if you don't then go for that one, is almost identical to the acer listed above with 5ms

Yeah Hanns-G is pretty good, I almost bought one myself until I got my Viewsonic
