ok so whenever I'm just surfing the internet or whatever, sometimes the monitor just randomly shuts off. the green light on the monitor turns orange. and I can't turn it back on unless the computer is restarted. What is going on? I think it's video card issue but not for sure.

It might be your Video Card overheating, leave the cover off your PC in a ventilated enviroment and see what that does to it.

It could be many things. Monitor, video card, RAM, software, etc etc... Are there any other times it shuts off to help pinpoint the problem? Perhaps during games as well, or something like that?

It's never shut off during games. It's done it three times now and only when I'm just surfing the web or surfing windows explorer.

does the power go off as in not in taking power to even light up a button like not plugged in? or like sleep mode/

everything is plugged in right but for some random reason the monitor likes to shut off on its own and cannot be turned back on unless the computer is restarted.

download ur drivers curectly my videocard is old and dosnt work on windows xp unless u waste ur time like im doing mine will turn from green to yello after the windows screen end try reinstalling ur video car/onboard drivers
