Monitor size

hello,

I am thinking about buying a new monitor. I need an advice about its size, does it even matter in this case?

I am bouncing between 28" with resolution 1920x1080 and 24" with same resolution but half the price. If I choose the 28" will the experience be better than the 24" when resolutions are the same?

im using 24" and works fine. plenty big. have to remember either will take up real estate on the desk top.

For a monitor that will be within three feet of you at those resolutions, the 24 will be adequate. Granted, the 28" will make everything larger if you find yourself squinting at small details.

I have plenty of room on by desk. Monitor will mostly be used for gaming so that is probably my biggest concern. Any other computer stuff is fine on my current 22" monitor so just the gaming experience is the question than?

It's rather simple, you just need to ask yourself that with what you are using it for, whether or not an extra 4" will be worth paying twice as much. Majority of the time, the answer will be "No"... Unless of course you're just buying it to show off to your friends how big your 'monitor' is... If it costs twice as much, why not buy two of the 24" monitors and have a dual display set up? (check video card capabilities)

What monitor were you thinking of purchasing?
I hear Asus has some good fair priced 24" monitors around at the moment, and Samsungs are always good.

Also, why are you replacing your current 22" monitor? 22" is still a good monitor these days.

Ryan_Fpv: You are right, I am not gonna show off to anyone. I was thinking of this asus maybe not particularly this one but this price band.

In fact I am not replacing I am adding. I am not gonna buy it tomorrow it just slipped through my mind that a FULL HD monitor might not hurt and The old smaller monitor as a second will certainly find its use at some point.
