Hi all,
I'm looking for a new work monitor. I use the monitor up to 8 hours a day. My current one, KDS 22-mdwb, has horizontal lines that extend from text boxes and windows. Text is not very clear on it either. My parents have a Samsung 205BW which is better, but since I do not use that monitor on a daily basis I can't describe how much better it is.
I need a monitor that will not fatigue my eyes. I have a few CRTs at work, which are amazingly clear and very easy on the eyes but they are only 17"ers. I need a minimum of 22" because I need multiple windows open. The monitor will not be used for games. I live in Canada, so some models may not be available here. I do not want to spend more than $500 on a monitor. Are IPS monitors less straining on than TN monitors? I am going to buy a Samsung 2433BW to use as an initial starting point. If I like the monitor I may keep it unless there are better suggestions. Viewing angles are not very important to me.
Thanks in advance.
