I'm Planning on getting the a monitor/tv, is this a good idea, or should I keep them seperate, I don't want to spend more then 500$ and would like it to be 19-21". Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

I personally like the idea. If you don't mind having a small TV, go for it.
It is fine to keep them together.

Great idea. One thing for two devices. It'll probably look great too and work dandily.
