more capacity or more speed?

what kind of buffers do they have and such? personally i'd prefer the 20gb hard drive depending on what id be doing with the thing.

That would be it for me..... whats it running and wht are you doing with it...

You could always have both, and keep the OS on the 7200 rpm one.

the buffer size on the 20GB is 512KB, and the buffer on the 10 is, well i dont know the buffer size, i know that it's 8.5 ms, the 20GB is 8.9 ms.

What OS are you loading on? If XP I would go with the 5400RPM, if anything short I would go with the 7200RPM.

i want speed, but the HD 10GB's smaller, i only got 3.09GB's used, out of a 20GBHD, soo i could probrably use the 10GB, would i see a significant increase in speed?

Yes you would, loading times would be shorter, and transfers will be quicker.

ok, cool, like i said, i hardly have anything on my computers, i have a 10GB in my Laitude, and i think theres only 6GB's used, maybe not even.

just e-mail, and surf the web
then go with the less expensive one.
and transfers will be quicker
yeah with all that blistering fast transfer speed you need when you surf the web... :P

Laptops surf and email as fast as anything else and they generally have a 5400RPM drive or even a 4200RPM
