More HDD space

Hello, I have just bought an HP all in one PC. I didn't check the info before buying as my old has died, and an I panicked. It only has 128 Gb storage space, I am used to 1Tb. Is it safe to use an external HDD all the time or shall I buy another PC. Most are sold out now because of the Klungflu.

Sounds like your new HP has a smallish SSD, what is the model number of your HP? Are you sure the PC doesn't have a secondary data drive?

If you really need more storage space, I would look into replacing the 128GB drive with a 1TB drive and be done with it.

To answer your question, yes, it's safe to use an external drive all the time but external USB drives are much slower than internal drives so, if you can replace the small internal drive or even add an additional internal drive, you would be better off.

Yo did you buy the cheapest PC there?

I use an external SSD basically 24/7. If you aren't removing it in the middle of transfers then you should be good. Mechanical drive wise there isn't much of a performance difference.
