Hey Buzz or Byteman........I wanted to thank you guys for the help you gave me in cleaning up my computer. However, I am encountering other problems and maybe you can help. A couple months ago I downloaded Norton Antivirus and ever since I loaded it, my system has not worked right. It has slooooowed things down so much. It is very exasperating. Even when not on line, when attempting to open a file or program I find that I have to disable N.A.V. to be able to accomplish the task. Also when I first turn on the computer and system is booting up it freezes up for long periods of time. It will eventually complete boot process but this was not occuring before I installed Norton a.v.. Any suggestions?

What speed is your computer? how old is it? Have you run adaware or anything recently? How many programs start at the startup?

If you don't mind paying for it, Nod32 is very low on system resources. If you do mind paying for it, AntiVir would be my next suggestion.
