More than one HDD?

I know you can install more than 1 HDD, and i've seen that some people have done that. But why would you want two large hard drives? i.e. 2x 200g HDD. It seems like a waste to me. Or do you them for different things? Like one for gaming and another for music, files, etc..?

Well, if you can't fit everything on 1 200 GB drive you get 2  . Personally I have a system/programs drive, a drive for music and other files, a drive for video, and a drive primarily for ripped DVDs waiting to be encoded.

Some people do stuff like video editing and other stuff like that which requires alot of harddrive space. You can also RAID your HD's which yeilds many benefits (read RAID 101).

There are many uses, some may want a faster read/write time so they raid them, others want to have one for backup purposes, or some have lots of data and need 2 hard drives.

or they are paranoid of losing all theirdata so they mirror two identical drive just in case one fails u can use the other one.
