i don't see a point in upgrading,
if you have socket a via chipset...
you will need to buy yourself a new computer soon,

well, its not a bad idea to upgrade, but how much are you paying for your new cpu?

if its anything over $100, i'd say its a waste...

i have sempron 2900+ bought 6 month ago, but i don't even use it anymore...

and i bet you will not going to see that much of a difference upgrading from 1800+ to 2600...
what are you tring to do with your computer? playing games mostly? or just microsoft word?
if you are having hard time playing games, might as well upgrade your video card instead, if you had not done already...

games mostly, i guess ill just settle for getting a new graphics card, mines broken anyway, the pixels dont get pixelated when I play games, thanks for the help, i recently got a new hard drive, 300GB Maxtor Diamondmax10, I already put most of my stuff on there, the only thing i hate is reinstalling everything on a new comp..Once I get the new computer, I can take my primary slave out and put it in as slave on the new comp right?
