Hmm

There is no one best brand out there. You always have to look at the pros and cons of each motherboard on an individual basis. My favorites are DFI, ASUS, EPOX, MSI and GIGABYTE. One BRAND that I do not really trust is ECS, but they are improving.

i hate asus... 2 boards both doa and terrible customer support experiences.
dfi msi abit and ecs for quality on a tight budget

sounds like bad luck to me, you cant hate the companies boards if uve never gotten to use them. but ig uess u can add a comment about their support. maybe u should hate UPS or the shipping comany even more.

Asus, DFI, Abit for me. Only owned an Abit, and even though it crapped out after a while...i was STILL impressed with it's initial performance and overclockability.

DFI seems o be just down right awesome, despite a "harder" BIOS and out of the box dificulties. That will be my next mobo brand I think.

Asus just seems to be an "average" overclockers brand. Good overclocking, good quality, good features, and no exceptionally bad points. Gets my vote.

I like Gigabyte and Asus best.

I dont know why some of you dont like Asus, i have 2 Asus computers and they are both 4 years old and still going strong.

I have now found ASRock motherboards to be really good. Did have a chaintech and lets just say never again! I also have a 7 year old giga bite pc that still goes so giga bite are pretty strong aswell.

I've had great experiences with Gigabyte, Asus, and I've seen some DFI's in action (LANPARTY series) and they work beautifully!

My 3 favorites... havn't really tried out the others. I'd rather go with a brand I know can work when I'm buying technology.

I have a gigabyte board its about 3 years old and 1 ram stick died but it was very cheap oem stuff, I love gigabyte
Gigabyte
DFI
Abit

**But I’ve only had experience with gigabyte**
I’m still deciding on my next brand for intell chip

I also have a Gigabyte GA-6LX7 Motherboard still works very well

and I have a board that has a SiS 85C461 chipset but I don't know what the board is its an old 486 still work good

asus new line the a8n delux, priemeir, and new delux are all teh best in my opinon
Spell much? ;)

Hmm... I thought DFI was an excellent mobo brand. How can they only have 2 votes (well 1 if you exclude mine).
You should know better than to judge based on polls ;) Reviews and product websites are a much better indication :)

Seems like you were hoping DFI would sweep it? ;)

Bingo .. there can possibly be best boards .. but best brand is a bit too broad ... now if you narroed to best intel-desktop-brand or best intel-server-brand (and AMD equivs too) thenthat might be doable but then you're pretty much picking between boards

I can understand hating ASUS ... but to suggest ECS and quality in the same sentence?

I dont know why some of you dont like Asus, i have 2 Asus computers and they are both 4 years old and still going strong.
Some people might feel the excessive pricing isnt worth it for their midrange models others (myself included) feel their top-tier products arent that snazzy as they used to be (i.e, until very recently rhere was no K8 equivalent of the A7N8X-E DLX or P8C800-E DLX ... the best ASUS K8 board for a long time was the A8N-SLI Premium which was overpriced and underperforming compared to similarly classed boards)

I have now found ASRock motherboards to be really good.
Lucky ;)
