I've been building a brand new PC and I've had to cut my budget back a bit because of my car :(

The advice I need really is that I've cut back from an Abit Fatal1ty board to an Abit A8N nForce 4 Ultra. Price difference is around £50 ($85-$90). Would you call that a good price cut?

Haha, I had to do the same thing. My car broke so i downgraded from the Fatal1ty to the AN8 Ultra. It's still a great board.

Haha! No way! Well thanks for the info! I was pretty sure that it was still a good mobo, and I haven't really tried to overclock before and so the fatal1ty board would be money wasted in one respect!

Thanks!

1. Between the Fatality and the 'normal' .,.. hell ya! The Fatality board is seriously overpriced
2. Personally id even go so far as to suggest an MSI board like the MSI K8N Neo4 SLI

Bingo! Figured as much ... but if you DO decide to OC or anything, the MSI board wont let you down (or if you want to really get into things ... the DFI Lanparty boards are an absolute pleasure to work with too)

Ya the Fatality boards are almost the same thing as the AN8 Ultras except they put some stickers on them that say Fatality. There are a lot of over clocking options on the board too. It's really a great board i love it.

Thanks for all the info guys! I kinda got carried away when I saw the Fatal1ty board, and didn;t look into their differences.

The only other question I have is that the AN8 isn't SLi capable is it? If it is, great!! But if it isn't, could someone recommend one for me? I was looking into the Asus A8N-SLi nForce4 SLi (Socket 939) for the same price (roughly). Would you recommend this board over the Abit purely down to the SLi capabilities?

Thanks!

Well i reccomended an SLI board for a nice price .... and i wouldnt reccomend an ABit/ASUS board for K8/K9 setups (exept maybe the ASUS A8N-SLI Premium DLX but for that price u can do better still)

Oh right, OK. Well if you don't mind Praetor, could you (or anyone else) recommend an SLi motherboard that is reasonably cheap? I'm talking around the £90 ($160-$170) mark. Any help would be great!
