Motherboard compatibility with CPU

Hello guys, I have this motherboard, and I want to upgrade my current CPU. However, i'm struggling to find the best possible compatible cpu for it. Any advices?
My current CPU is an intel core i5 6400

I thought on an Intel Core i7-6700k

Since you're on a H chipset you wouldn't really need the K SKU

A 6700 should work but might be a better value to budget toward something new instead.

Yes, upgraded motherboard, cpu and possibly ram. Your system is already 7 generations old. Any particular reason why you think it needs upgraded? I wouldn't really put any more money into this old of a system.
