What connections do I need and how many? I'm building a 1200€ gaming/music production computer.

USB 3 and USB 2 are naturally needed, but what do I need them for apart from sticking external thing into them? How many?

Same question for all kinds of PCI plugs.


Also, is IEEE 1394 connector the same as FireWire 400? Does it work with M Box 2 Pro?

Only you can answer what accesories you will connecting to your pc. Most modern pc's have plenty of connections, unless you are looking at a laptop.
