Motherboard CPU Fan Issue

So I found an old board of mine but I see to have lost the top half of the cooling brackets (See Picture)

I looked at other pictures of the same motherboard and noticed that it doesn't have the top black bracket. Is this going to be an issue trying to sell it?

Two things,
1. Can you post a link so I can see what the socket is supposed to look like?

2. For selling it, I would not buy a motherboard that does not have the complete bracket. it would just seem too broken for someone to take a chance on it. If you could find a replacement part for the cooling bracket you would increase your chances of selling it.

Somebody probably took it off for a aftermarket heatsink or for another motherboard. Would have to sell it alittle cheaper without one.They cost about 10 bucks new.
 
Ok! That's fine with me... I'll just make sure to mention they'll have to get their own fan/heatsink combo that will fit. :good:
 
i pitty the poor noob that buys this as an introduction to building and instead of having a great first experience is plagued by his heatsink not fitting right, his processor overheating and blowing, and the waste of his time and money lol. this board will ruin a potential modder haha
