motherboard dead?

I have fowllowing message on the screen when stating the computer: window couldnot start because error in the software. Please repoart this problem as: load needed DLLS for kernel. Please contact your support person to report this problem.

I tried to boot from the CD, it gave the same error message. Someone told me I need a new mother board, is it true?
 
No your mother board is not busted. Most likely you didn't boot corectly from the cd. remember to push a button in order to boot from cd, when the pc boots. kernel is a v important file that windows uses in order to run. The problem is corrupted data on the hdd. try again to boot from a cd, try t use another bootable cd if one doesen';t work.
