Motherboard Driver Question ..

So I'm going to reformat and clean install Windows 7 today and I'm looking at where to redownload mobo drivers (I have a Gigabyte GA-970A-D3) and I see 2 types;

Rev 3.0:
http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4395&dl=1#driver

Rev 1.4
http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4306#driver

I'd rather have UEFI Bios and I see the 3.0 has 'UEFI DualBIOS technology', and this is probably a very stupid question but that does mean that it would give the mobo UEFI right? Or are these different mobo's altogether? Are there any downsides to installing 3.0 rather than 1.4 (I believe I have 1.4 now ..?).

Thanks to any help in advance ^.^.

It is two slightly different boards, they have the same name but one is version 1.4 the other is newer version 3.0.

Most of the drivers look the same, however if you look at the bios versions of both boards they are different, if you have version 1.4 you will not be able to get the uefi bios.

The 3.0 came with a UEFI bios to start with, its not a bios update. If you flash the 1.4 with a 3.0 bios it will brick the board.
