Motherboard failure

I can´t get my new Asrock p4 pt880 to give the slightest live after I connected my additional USB-contact on the motherboard. Before that the motherboard worked for one hour. But I also had problem when I tried to start i up the first time. Nothings happened. Not even a hum from the cpu-fan, nothing. USB-contact is gone but nothing happens. What is the problem?

I´ve 2,4 Ghz Celeron, 512 DDR-ram, Radeon 9600 pro, SoundblasterAugity2, firewirecard, 300W powersupply.

No, nothing! I´ve taken out all my pci-cards and agp-vard and DDR-ram but nothing happens. All the contact are ok.

The USB-contact I connected to the motherboard was wrong but one of the power-connectors where put in right position and the other one wher put on a dummy. So it is hard to understand how this configuration could harm the motherboard.
