Motherboard good for overclocking

Hi, I'm going to be building a rig with a P4 630 3.0Ghz. With this i'm planning on overclocking it a bit. However, I seem to be having some trouble finding a good reasonably priced board for this, such as one that has agp/pci locks on it. I've read the OC101 and saw the recomended boards, but they do cost a lot. (I'm looking to spend no more then about $100). Also, if a board has a memory standard of DDR2 667(with four 240 pin slots), will i be able to use some sticks of PC3200 on it?? Any suggestions on a motherboard would be awesome

only if it's DDR2 400, which is like the slowest stuff there is, you probably have DDR 3200 sticks which will not fit

gotknoppix --> If I were you I would go with an AMD processor, they are praticly made to overclock. I have a Asus motherboard that has some features for Overclocking, mabe you should check Asus for a mobo. Here's a link: http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3

sniperchang and suprasteve, thanks for your input on this. I think that I probably will be going with an amd instead because you pretty much made me see the light about how amd's are much better for overclocking . I will just be doing some moderate multitasking, so it really shouldn't matter that i'm not gonna be using an intel.

and if you go AMD, you can use your old ram, but I guess you probably knew that to begin with

AMD and Intel are pretty much on par with overclocking. I've seen a lot of good overclocks on both types of systems. The FX series is the only exception, as its multipliers are unlocked, but they are quite expensive. Choose your processor depending on what you plan to do with your computer.

With that...what do you plan to use your computer for?
