hi i have built a new pc my motherboard has 3200 400mghz memory in it but i dont like the mobo so im going to change it for a better one i also have some pc4000 500mhz memoey i want to know if i can use that on my mobo that has pc 3200 400mhz memory in it

Yes, you can combine PC3200 with PC4000, but both will run at the slower PC3200 speed. This is assuming, of course, that both are DDR.

Post the specs of each memory. If they have different clock speeds then you won't be able to run both types. In BIOS you are only allowed to have one setting for clock speeds. It will probably make your computer unstable. It might work though. The only way to know is to try.

Of course, depending on the memory, there's nothing stopping you from upclocking.
