At the local flea market, I was looking ofr an old CRT, and came across a $3 Compaq Deskpro EN computer. I could find no ID number, so no official support...(grumble, grumble)..so I thought to my self, "Self, why not ask the Computer Forum?" So I did. All I know is that it is full-atx, socket 370, 3 dimm slots that have 2 notches instead of one, 2 pata, 1 floppy, 1 24-pin atx power connector, no P4, 5 PCI, 1 agp, and a really cool clear cmos button. Oh, and the back I/O ports in order from the top of the mobo are 2 usb, 2 ps/2, 1 parellel, 1 vga, 2 serial, 1 lan, and 3 audio ports. anyone who can give me any ideas of other details i missed, especially cpu support and fsb. the case came with the mobo a dvd rom, a cd rom, a floppy, and ide and floppy cables. Thankls for any help.

Without an I.D. sticker or I.D. number embossed on the motherboard, you basically out of luck.
There is software out there (Belarc adviser for one) that can possibly identify the board for you, but you'll have to get the PC up and running.

there is a sticker on the board that has a bunch of numbers, but according to the compaq website, they are not labeled correctly to be the ID number. They are:

sp#187498-001
p3368adkjjzc21
as#010630-101
dg#010631
rev : ad
t1l210

all it says otherwise is made in mexico, compaq processor board, and it has an agp slot ring-protector-green-thing that says Foxconn, so it might be that. It has an Intel chipset and i just figured out that thos wierd ram slots are plain-old sdram dimm sockets. I'll check-out the foxconn website.

Is this your board

yes it is stranglehold! except it doesn't have that vertical card next to/in the agp slot. could you tell me what the brand and other stuff is or could you give me a link?

Google the part number 187498-001.
I believe it will support the highest clocked socket 370 (1.1mgz or 1.2mgz) and 512mb of RAM. It will probably see more than 512mb though.
The AGP is only 2X.

More like this one. Being a Compaq board its hard to tell who made it. If I took a wild guess I would say either Intel or Foxconn.

yep, that last pic you posted is exactally like mine. that green ring around the agp slot on my board says foxconn, but on the foxconn website, it says that they havn't made socket 370 boards.
