motherboard im thinking about purchasing

is it true that there is a limit to each motherboard on how much you can overclock the cpu?

is this a good motherboard for overclocking or no?

also the motherboard im using is a intel d865perl and i was wondering as to why my speakers make a fried chicken noise when i overclock over 3.33ghz when i go in the 3.40 ghz range it starts to make that noise or if i go higher then that and when i bought the the motherboard it said the maximum proccessor supports was 3.40 ghz

ECS boards are not really great overclockers. ( I like their boards, but they dont overclock very much/not at all )

that one only supports ram up to 667mhz, i think you shud get a better one for future upgrades

oh and about the ram the reason why i am trying to get ddr2 667 mhz memory is because i really am kinda doing this on a 200 dollar budget per part
