Motherboard issue?

Hi everybody. I have a Gigabyte motherboard, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128545 & I'm running it on windows 7 ultimate.

When I power off and back on, sometimes it freezes at the Gigabyte splash screen.

If I click my reboot button, eventually it will pass the Gigabyte screen. So I've just been putting my computer in sleep mode instead of powering off & on.

This is annoying because I have an audio interface which does not play along well with sleep mode....

Should I assume this is definitely a problem with my mobo & not something else? Is this something that can be fixed?

Nope.

No custom settings, don't know how to do that sort of thing. I'd have to check on BIOS. On my work computer now.

In the bios disable the Gigabyte splash screen, have it boot straight to the bios and see if it hangs checking for any errors or what it thinks is a hardware change. Plus do you have the beeper speaker hooked up for and beep error codes?
