my computer died what happened was i was moving my printer and the usb cable wouldnt reach from
the back usb ports so i was going to add the front usb port cables on to the motherboard
but the connecters got connected possibly wrong before the computer was switched off and
when i plugged a usb device in the front ports it kept say device unrecognized so i switched
the computer off and plugged them into the other usb motherboard connector next to it then
i plugged a device in and the computer frooze so i rebooted and then all the usb ports on
the motherboard didnt work then i switched the computer off and it wouldnt come back on
it either kept switching itsself off seconds after i switched it on or stayed on but done
nothing, which it seems to be doing now i've left it overnight turned off cleared cmos
graphics card is fine tested in another computer and i left the computer turned on for a while
and all the chips and cpu and memory are cold the only one that is hot is the nvidia nforce3
250GB chip i connected a fan to all the fan connectors on the board and they all work is my
motherboard knacked?

thanks

I honestly dont understand what your saying. Try using at least one period in your posts, then you might get some help.

Well, now that I had some time to decipher what you said, I think maybe you accidentally plugged the USB into a FireWire port, when you said you moved it to the next one. I just read this in my manual:
Never connect a 1394 [FireWire] cable to the USB connectors. Doing so will damage the motherboard!
So that could have been what you did, (or vice versa in your case) and now your mobo isnt working. If you didnt do that though, I'm not really sure. But if you plug a USB cable into FireWire, it looks like you could possibly damage your mobo.
