In the specifications for memory on a motherboard what is meant by this

DDR3 1600(O.C)/1333/1066 ? does it mean its can only be at 1600 if u over clock it?
 
It just means the memory controller doesnt really support 1600 at JEDEC standards. It will default to 1333. You just have to go into the bios and manually set the speed/timing and voltage to what every its suppost to be at 1600.
