it looks like my motherboard doesnt support ssd as when i plug in my ssd in any ports it doesnt see it in the bios but when i plug in a dvd or normal hd i can see it in the bios, my motherboard model is GA P67A UD3 B3, can someone please help

ive also updated the bios to the latest version

Can you plug the drive into a different computer? Why wouldn't your computer not recognize an SSD? I suspect your drive is bad.

or you didn't push the plug in all the way, i know sometimes when un and re plugging some things on my comp it seems like i'm about to break the thing, but otherwise it isn't seeled and won't work right so check for that.

Sorry for the confusion it does now as ive changed the sata ports as native ide but sometimes in the bios it sees it and sometimes ehen i restart it doesnt and this is really puzzling me !!!???

I had a DFI board that did that with the SATA and IDE. Made me crazy. RMA, still did it after I got it back. Last DFI I owned. lol

Stranglehold, what did you do with your dfi board did you buy a new motherboard

Still in the box in the basement. Would just randomly on boot not detect any IDE or SATA ports or should I say any drives connected to them. Pretty sure on that computer, I replaced it a Epox motherboard.

youl be all glad to know that ive bought a new mobo the asus p8p67 le and it works!!!! apart from one intel p67 sata6 port but i dont really care as i plugged in my ssd in the marvell sata6 controller
